New Beginnings

When your walls seem like they are tumbling down, remember that God is always there to be the support your need to hold everything together. All you need to do is call out His name and believe in your heart that He will be thereto rescue you. For a long time I was dealing with depression and was having a very hard time dealing with personal tragedy that had happened to me. So I remembered what I was taught when I was growing up as far as my God will never leave me nor forsake me. Deuteronomy 31:6 the Bible says, “Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.”

One of the things I have found to overcoming your own obstacles is finding a role model to look up to and inspire you to keep going when things get rough and you feel like giving up. This can be any one from a celebrity, to a sports star, to a politician, to a war hero, or just someone you know or have heard of that has stood out in life in a special way and has reached you on an emotional level. When you get to the point of feeling like life is getting too difficult or everything is just coming against you too much, then you need to remind yourself of what your role model when through before they reached their accomplishments. Realize what they must have gone through to achieve such a goal and what perseverance it must have taken to do so. Then see how their challenges match up to yours and see what lessons you can learn from what they went through. If you are going to achieve the goals in your life then you are going to have to keep fighting no matter what comes up against you. You can and will make it through the hard times; you just need to have a role model that can give you the focus and drive to get back on track.
