Stop and Smell the Roses

Many times when I am feeling stressed and depressed, I feel one of the best ways to cheer me up is to just slow my life down and enjoy the outdoors. Take a walk in the sun in a park or a trail out in a nature preserve. Once there just slowly enjoy the sights, smells, and sounds of nature. Just the warmth of the sun and the beauty of many places can be very calming and rejuvenating to your spirit and soul.

It really is amazing how many people make themselves SO busy just to make enough money to live in a home that they literally will not have enough time to enjoy it due to how busy they are. I know we need to make money to keep our lives comfortable and progressing, but you need to take time once every day to relax your mind, take a deep breath, and just enjoy the beauty of God’s creation. Life is a gift and we all should take the time to enjoy everything that God has made for us to see and enjoy.
