Keep God in Your Hearts

I Peter 3:15
But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:

Inspiration
We have to keep God first in our lives; it’s the only way we can truly live as Christians. Not only are we to do that, but we have to know why we have chosen to follow God. This life isn’t a life of blind faith. We should be ready to defend our faith to anyone who challenges it. We should also be ready to explain, to anyone who enquires of our faith, in hopes that they will be inspired to receive salvation too. We as Christians also need to study to make ourselves approved in any area of life that we choose to excel and in turn reflect the love of Jesus in our ability to keep Him first in our lives and in the arena that we have chosen to work.

Prayer
Dear God, I pray that no distraction will ever win my attention. Lord, I choose to keep you as first in my heart and nothing else. Lord, if anyone ever comes my way to ask of my faith in you, I ask that You may help me speak so that my words will rouse conviction within them and they will turn to you and become saved. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Today it is difficult to be a follower of Jesus with all the temptations and attacks we have on a daily basis when we choose to follow Jesus Christ. Depending on where you live, to be a Christian, you could be constantly bombarded with personal attaches and peer pressure to compromise you beliefs, your standards, and your ethics in order to join the crowd, to be politically correct, or even to be “caring”. Please do not give in to these attacks and pressures because they are of the devil, and as you gain more knowledge from sanctifying your Lord in your hearts then you be able to understand, recognize and rebuke these attacks and pressures.
